On February 27th 2026, eight NSCC teams from across the province took part in the 33rd playing of our Winter Classic hockey tournament for the Colin MacLean Memorial trophy. The tournament was held at the Greenfoot Energy Centre in Bedford, NS and our student teams provided an exciting and action filled event!

This year's field included Kingstec, Lunenburg/COGS, Akerley, Truro, Cumberland, Pictou, Strait Area and Sydney Waterfront. An action-filled tournament ensued as our runners-up from last year broke through and we crowned the Truro Titans our 2026 Winter Classic Champions!

Many thanks to all involved, in particular to Pat McCarron and our amazing Radio Television Journalism students who brought the action to the fans via live stream, and as always it was FREE for everyone to attend live at the rink!
